Be a Leader

This weekend I was able to get home for a little down time with the family. I was not planning on using the tactics from HTWFNIP,but a situation occurred where I was able to take advantage of this opportunity. My sister and I are six years apart and fight non-stop, but this weekend she seemed to be very nice and appreciated me helping her with basketball. I started out by asking her how her season was going for AAU and she started to explain that her outside shot kept hitting rim. Once I shot around with her for a while I used the rule of the two yes's. I had asked if she was shooting past the rim, and she replied yes. I then asked if she was keeping her elbow up and following through, she also replied yes! I just so happened to make a comment about her bending her knees when she was shooting, and she didn't take it as a critic or order, but decided to make an adjustment and soon after she was hitting every outside shot. Therefore, I told her to keep up the good work and wished her good luck before leaving to return to school.

FYI--- Sunday afternoon she had a game and hit four 3's and had 21 points!!!!

Isn't it interesting how HTWFAIP seems to assist in coaching, go read Alex Broadwaters' assignment on this topic this week for a similar effort.

However, I don't think you used Part 4 principles--you cite the Secret of Socrates as your core principle. I'd like to see you use Part 4 principles this week and not with a family member.
